The
West End Markets are on every Saturday in Davies Park along side the Brisbane River. The market runs between 6am and 2pm.
The West End Market includes just about everything you want in a market. There’s a great range of garden-fresh fruit and veg, a unique collection of new and second-hand goodies and a chillaxed Saturday morning vibe. All of this takes place under the shade of large fig trees, keeping the markets lovely and cool even in those summer months.
This market is ideal for a Saturday morning brunch. Freshly squeezed lemonade, cupcakes, hot breads, seafood, spices, and cheeses are just some of the treats available, all of which are garden-fresh, straight out of the oven and very reasonably priced. There is also a range of organic and gluten-free products.
Once your legs or bellies have had enough, there is plenty of shade and soft grass on the outer edge of the market for a sit down where you can indulge in a little people watching. You may even be invited into an impromptu soccer match!
Davies Park is located on the corner of Jane Street and Montague Street in West End. There is plenty of free parking in the surrounding streets. There are regular
buses to the area, as well as
ferries that run a linking bus from the jetty to the market. The park is dog friendly.
You wont regret substituting weekly supermarket trip for a morning at the West End market!
