Craving something sweet is never far from my mind and the excuse that I'm expecting, is always a good excuse to eat. At the Waffle Shack you can choose from Liege (an oval shaped richer, denser, sweeter, and chewier waffle) or Brussels (a rectangular lighter, crisper with large pockets) which we typically associate as waffles.
I couldn't go past Begium waffles in this case topped with Chantilly cream, caramel and shaved chocolate served with a hot chocolate made with a house blend of Belgian chocolate, melted, powdered and grated. Yum!
With the intent to share my waffles, I ended up fighting my youngest child for every spoonful of delicious cream, crunch of waffle and caramel sauce is testament to how tasty Begium waffles are. It's been duly noted to make two orders for our next waffle tasting.
Waffle Shack is ensconced in the Broadway Convenience Store, so keep an eye out or you may walk past it the first time like myself. There are tables and chairs if you walk through to the back of the Convenience Store if you want to take your time to enjoy your waffles.
