If you are looking for a quick, easy and inexpensive meal nothing quite hits the spot as a good Aussie meat pie or, even better, a gourmet Aussie pie. That is exactly what I had when I went to to pick up a tasty meal for my lunch.

, which was established in 2004, is located in the upmarket Burnside Shopping Village, Adelaide.


Ben, the baker, is extremely busy, with his day usually starting at 4am so they can offer an assortment of sweet and savoury baked goods, artisan breads, catering and celebration cakes on request and wholesale business.




I ordered the lamb shank and rosemary pie. This was stunning and up there with one of the best pies I have eaten with its chunks of shank and tomato, and the ever so flaky pastry. I was not surprised to find out it had won awards.


I also couldn't go past trying the pork and fennel sausage roll. The meat, also surrounded by flaky pastry was filled with an ever so tasty sausage filling and one of my favourite flavour combinations – pork and fennel.
