A Dazzling Theatrical Voyage
Step into the dazzling, colourful life of the Very Hungry Caterpillar as he starts life as a tiny egg on a leaf and goes in search of food because he is Still Hungry. The Very Hungry Caterpillar Show will cocoon you in the pages of a giant pop-up book.

The fifty minute show is based on four of Eric Carle's colourful animal tales: The Very Hungry Caterpillar, Mr. Seahorse, The Very Lonely Firefly and The Artist Who Painted A Blue Horse.

The Very Hungry Caterpillar first sprang to life 45 years ago, but is still delighting children around the world. It has sold 30 million copies worldwide and sells the equivalent of a copy per minute since its first publication. No matter how many years have passed since you last read a picture book, this engaging puppet show will fill you with pure juvenescent joy.

World master puppet makers, the Puppet Kitchen, produced the 75 puppets used in the show. They are winners of four Daytime Emmy awards and alumnus from Jim Henson's Muppet Workshop.

A selection of signed lithographs from Eric Carle Studios will be on display. There will also be an activity zone for kids to create their very own hungry caterpillar after the show.

Special Relaxed Performance
This show is designed to create a safe and nurturing environment for children on the autism spectrum or with other disabilities and sensory sensitivities. Parents can trust their children will be more likely to enjoy this adapted theatre experience. The lighting is low instead of dark and sound levels remain consistent.
