Laugh until you fall of your chair at
the Sit Down Comedy Club.
The club regularly features local and national comedians with special international guests making an appearance as well.
Household names such as
Arj Barker,
Adam Hills and
Bob Franklin have entertained visitors in the past.
There is a different line-up every week at the club's main venue which is the Paddo Tavern in Given Tce, Paddington. Shows are usually on between Thursday and Saturday night and cost around $27 to $30.
There are also regular events such as the Open Mic Night. The greats have to come from somewhere and this is when new Brisbane based comedians show their talent.
On a Sunday night, Open Mic Nights take place at Kitty O'Shea's in 25 Caxton Street, Petrie Tce. The show starts at 7pm and the best thing about it is that it the entrance is free.
Bookings for Open Mic Nights and any other shows have to be made through the venue. Entry is for over 18 year olds only and the dress code is smart–casual. At the Paddo, thongs and shorts are not acceptable after 9pm.
