Seahorse Farm is a great place for the whole family to visit down at Port Adelaide. Open from 11am until 5pm everyday, this farm is dedicated to the preservation of these delicate and graceful little creatures. They have several interesting displays and of course huge aquariums filled with beautiful seahorses.
Seahorses are at great risk of losing their natural habitat due to things like environmental changes and polluted water. Their main immediate problem is the fact that they are very popular in Asian medicines, and would you believe are sometimes preserved and made into jewellery. The number of seahorse populations around the world is rapidly declining.
