A Parramatta institution of luxury and nightclubbing has stood the test of time. Welcome to The Roxy Hotel in George Street. Come inside after work, or anytime in the afternoon on the weekend, and an abundance of pool tables and drink beds with pillows awaits your luxury and pure indulgence. This is outdoor paradise with bright lights and the castle like exuberance. It is easy to really feel like the 'king of the castle' here.

Step inside the bar with tree lights and refreshingly good service. The bar staff are incredibly polite. You will be pleasantly surprised. You will find many guys drinking their beers. Not necessarily young people. You might stumble across a few couples. Middle aged men love it here as much as the youngsters.
Beer and cocktails are naturally the most popular drinks you can buy here. If you feel like a barista brewed coffee at the bar instead, then go ahead and be your own guest to a cup of caffeine purity. The beds of luxury are also yours for the taking. If you prefer, then you can also make one of the wooden tables and chairs home.
The pace here is much slower and laid back than the city pubs. Come here later at night, and you will naturally be asked to produce appropriate ID before security let you in. This is where the main gates of paradise are blocked off on this occasion. An outdoor DJ is absolutely bliss. The Roxy Hotel absolutely caters. A bar/pub where the toilets are also sparkling clean. The whole place is clean and incredibly inviting. Not the type of place you would want to stay at for hours, unless you're with a small group of friends.
Their drinks are cheap by Sydney standards, incredibly cheap. I had about 15 minutes to kill and hence ordered a lemon, lime and bitters ($3) before day turned into night. Plants, bar beds and white pillows with a refreshingly filling and satisfying sweet drink in tow. Maybe a bit too much bitter, yet I did not mind. Look up at the sky, and it feels like you're viewing the stars. Perfect when the moon is fully lit, or on a blue sky day with puffy white clouds in abundance.
If you would like something to eat, then a Lebanese style bistro is there for the taking. It can easily feel like you have been invited into the home of a friend, and here you are sitting and enjoying a cool, refreshing drink in their backyard of space and serenity. A great spot for watching the football as well.
