Walk with me to Degraves Street
Spoilt for choice with dining, Melbourne wins hands down! Offbeat cafes are scattered up and down and along Degraves Street and the cobblestone street replicates a place that could be tucked away somewhere in Europe. A favourite café of mine I would like to share is called, 'The Quarter Cafe'. During my stay in Melbourne, I confess to dining at this café three times in the space of a week.
The Quarter Cafe
The outstanding customer service at The Quarter Cafe is second to none; the menu consists of high quality food at a very reasonable price and the darkly lit surroundings of the café make for a cosy and relaxing ambience.
Foods and drinks worth a mention
Cosmopolitan Cocktails (alcoholic): Absolutely divine, I felt like I was part of the 'Sex and the City' movie! Cheesecake Please: The berry assorted homemade cheesecake is to die for, the cake takes up most of the dessert plate and is swirled in ice cream, jam sauce and strawberries and cream. Savoury Temptations: Winning hands down (for me) would be the simple but full of flavour toasted chicken breast turkish roll.
