The Prince Charles Cinema is a special place to watch films just off the main drag off Leicester Square.

It used to be, apparently, a film house of 'ill repute', but has been in its current guise, with its unique vibe, red velvet seating and double-seated sofas since 1991.

Following a refurbishment this popular cinema now has two screens. The downstairs theatre shows films for around £4 a ticket, which drops to £1.50 if you take up membership at £12 per year. Upstairs shows more mainstream films that are still on general release. Click here to view the huge variety of movies on right now.

Also well known for its 'Sing-a-long Sound of Music' shows - they usually run one each month and details can be found on the official website - this cinema has a unique vibe and is possibly the most relaxing place in London to enjoy a movie. You can even buy a beer to drink during the screening!
