The Prince Charles Cinema is a special place to watch films just off the main drag off Leicester Square.
It used to be, apparently, a film house of 'ill repute', but has been in its current guise, with its unique vibe, red velvet seating and double-seated sofas since 1991.
Following a refurbishment this popular cinema now has two screens. The downstairs theatre shows films for around £4 a ticket, which drops to £1.50 if you take up membership at £12 per year. Upstairs shows more mainstream films that are still on general release. Click

Also well known for its 'Sing-a-long Sound of Music' shows - they usually run one each month and details can be found on the
official website - this cinema has a unique vibe and is possibly the most relaxing place in London to enjoy a movie. You can even buy a beer to drink during the screening!
