The Pee-wee Herman Show

Home > Things to do in New York > Shows | Theater
Event: 26/10/2010
That lovable bow-tied grown-up kid is back - and he's on Broadway.

Pee-wee Herman, the star of the 1980s Saturday morning television show and movies that bear his name, is entertaining a whole new generation, with "The Pee-wee Herman Show."

He's joined by a slew of familiar faces from Pee-wee's Playhouse, including Miss Yvonne, Mailman Mike, Cowboy Curtis, Jambi the Genie, Pterri, Conky, Chairry and many more.

Based on Reuben's 1981 cult classic stage production, the live show runs at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre for 10 weeks, from Oct. 26-Jan. 2, 2011, coming off a sold-out run in Los Angeles. For just a little taste of the show, check out the trailer here.

Don't miss a new celebration of sophisticated silliness, subversive humor and childlike wonder for your kids, or the kid in you. That may sound cheesy, but this is Pee-wee Herman we're talking about after all.
