The best thing about Sundays, apart from being completely acceptable to wake up anytime after midday, is being able to eat pancakes at anytime without the frowning eyes of nutritionists and mums passing judgement.
My favourite weekly treat is "Pancakes up North" at Pancake Manor Ipswich. It consists of the best breakfast foods, buttermilk pancakes, two sausages and a fried egg, with the sweet seduction of a grilled piece of pineapple and a banana on top therefore making it a favourite for the whole family, or in my case the extremely famished twenty-one year old who may in actual fact order a side of extra sausages, maple syrup and ice cream. But as my Nan always said "eat like a King at breakfast" - however she failed to mention though that
all Kings are fat.
There is something for everyone at Pancake Manor including your choice of steaks, nachos, chips, wedges and even garlic breads.Therefore even the fussiest of people will find a dish that will make their mouth water and their knees buckle. But if you can't make it for breakfast, Pancake Manor is open until midnight seven days a week, so you can enjoy pancakes as a snack or if your too lazy to cook, dinner!
