The
London International Mime Festival brings together top mime artists from around the world. As well as entertaining performances, there'll also be
after-show talks and
workshops.
When you think of mime artists, don't just think of a bloke in white paint and a leotard moving his hands around a lot - the acts at the Mime Festival incorporate stunning acrobatics, beautiful dances, imaginative sets and stories, multi-player performances, and possibly the occasional man in white paint and a leotard moving his hands around a lot.
Fifteen theatre companies from ten countries will be performing at various venues in central London, including the Barbican, the Southbank Centre, the Royal Opera House and the ICA Theatre.
Opening the festival will be Zimmerman and de Perrot's
Someone Something, winner of the 2009 Swiss Choreographic Prize and featuring some of Europe's best circus artists.
Most shows are family-friendly, though a few require parental guidance. For information, click

So if you're up for some inspirational and innovative entertainment, make sure you get along to the International Mime Festival!
My goodness, there'll even be a
multi-talented bearded lady!
