The King and I is a timeless classic tale of East versus West. Based in 1862 this unique love story is about an English widow who travels to Bangkok to teach English to the King's children. The King also enlists Anna's assistance to change his barbarian image in the West.
She falls in love with the King, but cannot join his harem as she is British.On attempting to leave Siam she hears news of the Kings death and returns to help his son as he takes over the throne.
