This hotel is in a perfect location in the gorgeous city and is within walking distance to all the local attractions, shops, bars and restaurants. The property itself was built in 1794, the golden age of Bath's Georgian elegance. It still has this certain elegance and style throughout the house and is covered in stylish decor suited to the property. The rooms, however, are very modern with power showers which are hard to leave, lovely bathing products, wireless internet and flat screen TV's.
Bath can be a very difficult city to park in and expensive too but this excellent hotel offers free residents' parking permits for your stay. You can just pick up your permit on arrival and drop it off again when you leave.
The hotel is owned by Mary and Giovanni who are extremely accommodating and one definite highlight was the breakfast we had both mornings. The service was perfect, served by Mary, who is a truly lovely lady. There was an excellent selection of fresh coffee and cooked and continental breakfast. Choose exactly how you want your eggs... I have to say, the poached were done to perfection.
The hotel can be found on 11 Henrietta Street, Bath, BA2 6LL, 110 miles away from London, with a direct train service every half an hour from Paddington (90 minutes) or just 2 hours by car (M4 Junction 18).
Bristol Airport is only 40 minutes away (25 miles), while Gatwick and Heathrow airports have easy train connections to Bath.
Allow an hour travelling by road if arriving from the Cotswolds (N) or the City of Wells (SW) or Stonehenge (SE). Bath is an ideal base for visiting all these areas.
