Definitely The Great Fete indeed. As the name of this annual event implies, the Samuel Gilbert Public School in Sydney's Castle Hill will be home to The Great Fete once more for 2013 on Sunday the 18th of August 2013, between 10am to 4pm.

Families, fetes are a great way to socialise and to enjoy a family friendly day out in style. The Great Fete for you is a must. Parents, even if your child/children are not students of the Samuel Gilbert Public School, they will still thoroughly enjoy themselves. For starters, over 6000 people attended this event in 2012 alone. This event takes the traditional school fete to a mammoth level. Parents, if your child/children are students at the Samuel Gilbert Public School, you will be pleased to know (if you are not already aware of this) that the funds raised from last year's fete have gone towards some state of the art IT equipment towards your child's/children's learning and development.

Event highlights include market stalls and over 14 great rides to keep your child/children amused for hours on end. Such rides do include pony rides, as well as dodgem cars and jumping castles to only name a few. Furthermore, there will be an international food court and traditional BBQ treats. The organisers behind The Great Fete are allowing all guests to enjoy in style in a stretch limousine, the newest fete attraction. Further details on the latter will follow. "The Fete has a vibrant community atmosphere and plenty of attractions for all age groups. Whether you're into fairy floss and carnival rides, books and gardening, food and dance, there's something for everyone." - according to the Samuel Gilbert Public School's principal, Mr Andrew Bowmer.

Andrew has also volunteered to become a (somewhat very) brave man for his involvement in the forthcoming The Great Fete event. He will be involved in the "Dunk The Principal" novelty game, with a dunking machine involved. School students, time to gain revenge... just joking. Other novelty games at The Great Fete include hoopla and the Crazy Scientist to name.

Furthermore, The Great Fete will feature over 65 quality market stalls, and there will also be a Trash n' Treasure feature at this year's event. Cake lovers, a giant cake stall is also an event highlight. Raffle tickets will also be on sale, and there will be a number of prizes up for grabs for attending. Entry is free.

The 'lucky' students of the Samuel Gilbert Public School will have a mufti-day ( preview) on Tuesday the 6th of August. This day will encompass a fun-filled preview for a quirky attraction to The Great Fete. Again, of which will make its debut in 2013. These lucky students will enjoy the stretch limousine hummer ride. The theme of The Great Fete preview, in preparations for the big day ahead on the 18th of August is called "Colour My World." More information on this annual 'school fetes or all fetes' can be found on The Great Fete's website.
