In today's digital era, Ebay may be our answer to a modern marketplace, and it certainly has its benefits, but what is sorely missed from online shopping experience is the ability to truly appreciate the detail and craftsmanship of an item. Most of the time, a simple digital image uploaded by the seller hardly does the sale item justice, and it is hard to decipher just
exactly what the purchaser will receive.
However if you want to return to the age old tactile experience of exploring all kinds of original arts and crafts and vintage clothing and accessories, you can still do so at
The Flea Market, a monthly market event which is held at the
Dancing Dog Cafe and Gallery, located in Footscray on the second Sunday of every month.
At The Flea Market you have the chance to view and purchase many unique treasures, including a range of vintage clothing, homewares, arts and crafts. Perhaps you may find a
new favourite artist who happens to be a local. You can browse through some of the one of a kind finds from previous Flea Markets events on the business
Facebook profile - but remember nothing will compare to actually venturing out to The Flea Market monthly event. You can even make a day out of it, as you can dine at the
Dancing Dog itself, or there are many other cafes and restaurants situated nearby the
Footscray location.
The Flea Market is held every second Sunday from 10:00am to 3:30pm. For more information on this event, including the chance to have your own stall, please see The Flea Market
Facebook profile.
