The Crepe's Story

We have all walked past and caught a glimpse of those too-good-to-eat crepes, but there's something about these Japanese treats that tickle the taste buds.

From tropical fruits to spicy flavours, this crepe bar is taking sweet and savory to a whole new level. Situated in Rundle Mall, it's not easy to miss this bright pink little shop where the women are dressed as cute Harajuku girls – something like out of a Gwen Stefani video clip.

When the girls were asked about their most popular flavour, they all agreed that 'Strawberry Ice-cream' was one of their best sellers - so of course, I opted for that one.

I must say, I have never tried something so good. The serving was generous but it wasn't too rich - a major plus in my eyes. The crepe was jam-packed with strawberry ice-cream, whipped cream, fresh strawberries, pink strawberry sauce and was topped with colourful sprinkles.

At The Crepe's Story, you have the option of eating in, or if you're in a rush, you can grab one on the go. You can also sit and watch as they make your crepe to absolute perfection.

Walking down the mall with my crepe certainly caught everyone's attention and I even got stopped by two girls who asked me where I got it from.

Other uncommon flavours include Chicken Curry, Mandarin Cream, Tiramisu Deluxe, Seafood Mix, Peach Ice-cream and many more. Whether you're having breakfast, lunch, dinner or dessert, The Crepe's Story will fill your tummy without giving you that sickly-sweet or bloated feeling.

So next time you're out shopping, be sure to stop by and try one of their incredible desserts; because for those who like to try new things, the Japanese are showing Adelaide the unusual side to crepes.
