The Coed and the Zombie Stoner is the perfect date night film, for those of you, who like a little comedy, action, horror, science fiction and some good, old-fashioned American teen movie style nudity, mixed with your romance.

The film portrays a beautiful love story, between two star-crossed lovers, but they certainly are not your average "Romeo and Juliet".

The film stars Catherine Annette (Super Shark & After Midnight) as the beautiful sorority girl cross science geek, who stumbles across a handsome, yet mysterious young man in the science lab, by the name of Rigo, played by Grant O'Connell (Brooklyn Sweet Nothings & Kidadults) . They soon fall deeply in love with each other, with the twist being that Rigo is a pot smoking zombie, who is about to wreak chaos amongst the students and faculty!

Amongst the wild parties, naked runs, flesh-eating zombie breakouts and a bizarre beauty queen ZOMBIE contest, the two young lovers soon find themselves and their closest friends, fighting for their lives, whilst researching to find a cure, proving that brains are just as important and in many cases, even more important than beauty. But amongst the chaos and confusion, can their love ever truly last? Or are there just too many obstacles in their way?

This is a very funny film, which is geared towards young adults, as it is in the vein of teen comedy classics such as; the American Pie series and Not Another Teen Movie.

I really enjoyed the soundtrack, which includes some very popular and catchy songs and the special effects aren't too gory for a date night with your significant other.

The Coed and the Zombie Stoner is rated MA and is recommended for those 15 years and over, as it contains strong violence, sex scenes, sexual references, coarse language, drug use and nudity.

8.5/10
