Local acts have a place to sparkle at The Chandelier Room.
A performance space with a difference,
The Chandelier Room showcases local talent each weekend.
The Chandelier Room.
The décor lives up to the name, with the plush interior generating a chilled out atmosphere. Of course, several sparkling chandeliers are suspended from the ceiling. Tables seating a few patrons each fill the floor, with a raised stage for the performers at one end.
The music is typically blues or soul, with the quality of performances depending on the night. On Saturday nights, acoustic performers are invited to the stage from 8pm. This is the night to go if you want to be sure that you will be seeing talented musicians. Entry is $10.
Weekly Sunday singer/songwriter sessions feature performances from less known acts who are just starting out. Starting at 4pm, the singer/songwriter sessions are free of charge. Following this is an open mic event, starting from 6pm, where undiscovered musicians are given the opportunity to get onstage. Again, this session is free.
A licensed bar, The Chandelier Room has a decent sized wine list to go with their classy atmosphere. Snack platters are available.
Located in Moorabbin, The Chandelier Room is just a few minutes away from
Karkarook Park, and is less than a ten minute walk away from
