Regular readers will recall that we recently wrote about the auditions for The Brain From Planet X.

You now have the opportunity to see the outcome of those auditions.



The Brain From Planet X is a parody of all those cheesy space invader movies we used to watch on Saturday afternoons, but with added singing and dancing.

Director Ryan McNally has put together a highly talented cast for this 'rousing, toe-tapping musical', including Glenn Wallis, Shaun Griffin, Pat McMahon, Gary De-Vries and Kate Lloyd.



McNally says 'I fell in love with The Brain from Planet X after downloading the soundtrack. I have a bad habit of listening to musical soundtracks and, after hearing this one, I instantly knew I wanted to direct the show. It's a spoof of 1950s alien horror movies and that's why I enjoyed it so much. The show has taken all those elements and blended them really well to create a fantastic fun musical.
"I feel lucky to have such a talented cast and crew around me who are all extremely enthusiastic about the show and their characters. I find them inspiring and I love watching them bringing this show to life."

The whole proceeds of programme sales and nightly raffle will be donated to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of WA .

The Brain from Planet X runs at Phoenix Theatre from September the 11th to the 27th. Tickets are $25 adults, $20 concession – book through TAZTix on 9255 3336 or online .
