It's a Sunday sort of pub really. The gastronomic highlight of their
menu is probably the Sunday Roast, though they also do typically comforting pub grub fare: sausages and mash, rib of beef, fish and chips etc., with a few lighter curve balls and some pasta thrown in to accommodate people who don't fancy something that heavy. And on Sunday they also do live jazz.
It's also the sort of place you could bring your Mum to – the tables are all nicely spread out and there's not a sticky patch on the floor or dried beer mat on the bar to be seen. Your Mum may also appreciate the slightly flamboyant colour scheme and the open fireplace.
