What do you feel like doing today? Do you want to travel to another land? Do you want to learn what that bug is that is eating your tree? Do you want to lose yourself in a good romance?

Well you can do all of those things at the Book Bank in Toowong--well you can at least find a great book to help you.

The newly transplanted Book Bank was a long standing member of Toowong Village. In fact, 20 years of living in the village brought them numerous loyal customers. With the whole of the village under reconstruction they made a huge decision to relocate.

Owners Jose and Julie Trace, the mother and daughter duo, own and run the shop. They are joined by Les and Elizabeth, their part time assistants who are ready to assist you. The shop opened over 2 decades ago because of their love of books. Julie says her mom also loved the idea that they could share and bring you the writings of Queensland writers, giving them voice and a place to live. Showcased right now is the story of, "Queensland's Last Anzac," a good read for those with an interest in history and biographies.

In the Book Bank's new home at 48 Jephson Street you can fall in love again. Romance writers like Nora Roberts and Danielle Steele show you how it is done. The travel section has a huge display of Lonely Planet guides to other lands. These all travel well and are a handy reference.

Maybe you are into the arts. Books on art history, "the Encyclopedia of Art," " Painting More Than the Eye Can See," or "Letters of the Great Artists," are waiting for a new home.

Maybe you have always wanted to learn how to garden. There is a book for that. You can learn to grow camellias or roses. You can learn how to identify plants and what family they belong to.

Other topics include General Health, Autobiographies and Biographies, Mind, Body and Spirit, Music, Religion, Fashion, Language, Science, and so much more. Crime writers abound in the likes of Janet Evanovich and JD Robb.

Then there are the thousands of Fiction titles waiting to tickle, tantalise, and tempt you. There are new releases by Matthew Condon, John Burdett, Jane Rocca, George R.R. Martin and Suzanne Collins.

Bring your kids to the children's section and bring them back to the tactile touch of books, where they can turn the pages and be surprised by what comes next.

They also sell beautiful calendars, gift cards, map books and reference guides.

They would love to welcome you in to their new store, next to the Chemist's Warehouse. There is no one like them in the Western Suburbs so we want to keep them around for a long time.

When you are done reading your books bring them back and get credit to use on more books. It is a great way to recycle, reuse and find treasures you didn't know you were looking for.

Unleash your inner romantic, traveler, gardener or art critic and make your way to the Book Bank in Toowong.
