End of The World (for beardless people) Tour
This Adelaide-based novelty folk-rock band have a cult following. I've been to a number of their gigs, most recently when they were supporting Kate Miller-Heidke.

The Beards, who call themselves a beard-related theme band, are back on the road from late September, as part of their "End of The World (for beardless people) Tour". Spoofing on the Mayan prophesy that the world will end on 21 December 2012, The Beards are spreading the word that it will only happen to those without beards.

The Beards have been persuasive thus far, so maybe it's time to grow a beard. With a three album back-catalogue including songs such as "If Your Dad Doesn't Have A Beard, You've Got Two Mums", "No Beard, No Good", and their glam-rock song "You Should Consider Having Sex With A Bearded Man", you'll find yourself singing along and thoroughly enjoying yourself.

The Beards have teamed up with some great talent for their tour. Supports include:
The Snowdroppers - a four-piece Sydney dirty blues band
Kim Churchill - singer / songwriter / experimental guitar player from far south coast of New South Wales
StormChasers - an eight-piece Brisbane folk-funk band
Guthrie - a growling two-piece Tasmanian dirty roots-rock-blues band
Gay Paris - a four-piece Sydney dirty rock band

The 29-show national tour travels from east to west and north to south, and kicks off in late October and runs until the end of the world (for beardless people).
