The 'Gorgeous Guys Love Cats' campaign is running from October till November through the AWL QLD Facebook page and they are looking for the perfect man.
The shelter is encouraging male cat lovers to participate if they are passionate about the cause, saying they want a real man who can admit their love of cats and be the face of our summer cat adoption program.
The AWL also want a man who will encourage responsible pet ownership through cat de-sexing to prevent unwanted litters and impregnation.
The Animal Welfare League receives an influx of unwanted litters within the September to February period, with hundreds of kittens and their mothers coming through the doors.
Celebrities like Zooey Deschanel have supported similar programs in America
This leaves the shelter struggling for room for all its occupants and the task of re-homing more animals than they should.
