Regardless of age, regardless of work, if you're looking for a drink, food or just a fun time with your mates, the Abercombie in Sydney is the place to be.

Situated in the City, the Abercrombie only recently re-opened as a pub/bar in the middle of 2011.

With a huge and somewhat exotic range of food and drink on the menu and ready for devouring, you'll never be left empty-stomached or dry mouthed.

During the week, there is a range of special $10 lunches on offer. Some of the standouts include the wonderfully old-schooled fish and chips on newspaper and burger with the lot. Seriously. It has every single thing you could think of on a burger plus chips.

On top of that, if you fancy a feed under the stars, each day of the week, the Abercrombie has a dinner special. This is where it gets amazing. These specials include $4 hot dogs on Tuesdays, and that's gourmet hot dogs with taste bud-tantalizing salsas and sauces. On Wednesdays you'll get $3 tacos, yeah that's $3!

Don't be surprised to see some odd items on your plate either. Order a batch of hot chips and you'll get unsliced mini-pickles scattered through them. Even the fish and chips come with a boiled egg on the side. Slightly weird and perhaps not to everyone's taste, but it certainly makes you remember the meal.

Prices can get a little high when you don't order a special, but the Abercrombie certainly provides some of the best pub food I've ever had.

Drinks wise, the stand out is definitely the interestingly named 'rave juice'. Effectively it is just vodka-red bull, but packed in a zip lock plastic bag with ice and a glow stick (yes, you read that right). But it's a massive serve, it's fun and for $10, well worth it.

If there's one thing I don't love it's the Beroca Cocktail. Imagine Beroca (that medicine powder) along with vodka and there you have it. An extremely odd flavour and certainly not worth wasting money on, in my opinion.

The feel and ambience of the place is nice, green, red and black décor accompanied with side booths and a lovely outdoor area. There are a few, let's say 'revealing', pieces of art on the walls and they certainly add to the grungy type of feel.

Staff are friendly and on Friday/Saturdays you'll get an awesome disco dance floor happening in the early hours.

The Abercrombie is perfect for a cheeky drink before uni, a relaxed meal after work or even for a party on the weekend, just be prepared for anything weird and/or odd!
