Play the fool in the pool with the kids – or swim serious laps – at in Inglewood.

The indoor children's pool boasts a 'river' you can float down on a lilo or while holding a beach ball. In addition, it's got a graded 'beach' entry, vigourously flowing fountain and some bubble-filled spa benches. The children's pool is extremely busy on Saturdays when recreational swimmers mix with kids having lessons. Sundays are quieter.

Tempt children reluctant to leave the pool with a treat from the café or a session on an outdoor playground near the entry.

For serious swimmers, you can choose between a 25 metre indoor pool and 50 metre outdoor pool, both of them heated. The centre also has a gym, creche, group fitness classes, spa, sauna, outdoor children's pool, shaded and grassed areas, and free barbeque facilities.

Formerly called the Inglewood Swimming Pool, the centre re-opened under its current name in 2001. The centre is named in honour of Terry Tyzack, an architect who has served on the City of Stirling council for 30 years - including two stints as mayor.
