The Tea Tree Gully Hotel, located in Adelaide's north-east, has joined the fight to revive Adelaide's suffering live music scene with the return of live bands every Friday night. The move comes following a prolonged absence of regular live music and the success of its recent Better Off Deaf shows. Friday nights will see 'The Gully' host some of Adelaide's best local bands including The Incredibles, Broken Theory and classics cover band, New Romantics.

The re-introduction of regular live music comes as part of a move to restore the hotel's former glory as a popular location for events.
Adelaide's live music scene faces an uncertain future as the government considers cutting arts funding. But The Tea Tree Gully Hotel, along with activist groups such as Save Live Australia's Music (SLAM), refuse to feel the pinch as their live programme, which began in late March, is proving to be a success.

Crowds are predicted to increase as the programme goes on with Wildcard expected to put on a huge show as this week's artist.

Future shows include:
Friday April 12, Wildcard
Friday April 19, Viotar
Friday April 20, Incredibles
Friday April 26, Flaming Sambucas
Friday May 3, New Romantics
Friday May 10, East
Friday May 17, Broken Theory
Saturday May 18, The Buzz
Friday May 24, Incredibles
Friday May 31, Harvest

With a new big-screen, $10 pizza and pint deal and drink specials every week, it's hard to refuse the chance to head out for some fun while supporting promising local artists.
