C.S. Lewis said "You can never get a cup of tea large enough or a book long enough to suit me". And most people would agree that curling up in a comfy chair with a cup of tea, losing yourself in the leaves of a book and those of a brew, is hard to beat.

Literary Tea Co . is all about exploring the connection between tea and books by creating delicious tea blends inspired by the world's most loved writers.

To the founder and owner, Lauren Nolan, tea isn't just a drink, it's a way of life. It's calming, healing, energizing and relaxing. It can give you the clarity you need to solve a problem and the rush of creativity to produce a masterpiece.

Lauren's love of tea started in her teens and her curiosity grew through experiencing different teas from around the world. She says, "Some I've loved and others not so much but with each passing year I am learning more about these leaves that changed the way the world drinks."

The ritual of tea and a book continues to inspire and drive Lauren as she creates new blends connected to literary figures. "One without the other just isn't quite enough anymore so that is why Literary Tea Co. was born."

Having a cup of Literary Tea Co's tea is as close as you'll get to having a cuppa with your favourite author according to Lauren. "I wanted to create all organic tea blends that were inspired by great minds, such as Shakespeare, Hemingway and Plath" and that's exactly what you'll get with Literary Tea Co. teas which are inspired by the greats of the literary world. Each blend is unique to the writer and the perfect accompaniment to reading their works. The blends are made from high quality tea, all natural ingredients and are hand blended and packaged in Australia.

Based in the beach side suburb of Bondi, Literary Tea Co. not only sells wonderful tea blends, it teaches you how to create your own. Tea blending is a wonderful sensory experience and the people at Literary Tea Co. are passionate about sharing their knowledge and allowing you to discover the joy of creating your very own tea. "Taking time to blend tea is a great form of relaxation and meditation and a big part of the enjoyment of the whole tea experience," Lauren says.

Workshops are held regularly and are guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience. Learn about the history of tea, grading, tisanes, teaism, healing properties, distinguishing types of tea and more. Learn the art of blending, get to test and taste your tea and have it packaged, sealed and put into a personalised labelled tea tin for you to take home and enjoy. Importantly, wake up your senses and learn to find time in your busy life with a ritual that will relax and refresh you.

And what a great way to spend some time with friends, family or colleagues - a tea blending workshop is something unique and different that will be enjoyed and remembered. The Literary Tea Co. people will be happy to talk to you about workshops for hens parties, birthdays, corporate events and more. In addition to tea taken the traditional way, tea infused cocktails can be organised for those wanting a bubbly brew.

And so, as you imagine the air scented with cinnamon, rose petals, orange peel, lavender and peppermint, why not book your place now with the Literary Tea Co. to create your own unique blend of tea. In the meantime, I'll be retiring to my comfy chair to enjoy my own special blend* with a good book. *The writer's creation was named Beatrix Potter, being a blend of camomile, rose, hibiscus and lavender - inspired by the country garden where Peter Rabbit's mother, Josephine, took her camomile tea.
