The country town of Orange is a four hours’ drive from Sydney. But that car trip has been cut short for you with Orange bringing its food, wine, art and music to you. And all the travelling you’ll have to do is to make your way to Bondi from August 24-30 for the
Taste Orange @ Bondi festival.
Throughout the week, a line up of local restaurants to Bondi and surrounding suburbs will be serving up specialised dishes using some of Orange’s finest produces. With something new lined up each day starting on Monday August 24,
Bondi Trattoria will be cooking up a big breaky and all proceeds raised will go to
Rainy Day, a charity that helps out rural committees affected by the drought. On other days you can expect to indulge in a five course degustation at Jo & Willy’s Depot.
Accompanying these meals will also be a great selection of some of
Orange’s wines. The region has historically been known to produce world-class chardonnay but have also recently received high demands for their sauvignon blanc and pinot noir. You’ll be able to taste some while enjoying getting stuck into a good book at the
Gertrude & Alice Bookstore.
A number of participating pubs in the area will also be holding wine tasting workshops. Check out the full program for the week

Your final chance to catch the Orange buzz will be on the last day of the event, Sunday August 30, where the week’s worth of events will be combined to create a family day out. There will be over 30 stalls showcasing a selection of the top quality food and wine from the Orange region. There will also be cooking demonstrations and a line-up of entertainment for adults as well as the kids.
Running at the Bondi Pavilion Gallery will also be an art exhibition, Art Alfresco, showing off 34 of Orange’s distinct artworks by some of the region’s local artists.
