The Funkiest cafe in Forster- TarttThis breakfast & lunch cafe also serving dinner Friday & Saturday nights has a funky, rustic, slightly industrial look and is one of a kind in this town. Always busy with locals and holiday makers and for good reason. Tartt offers great, friendly service, smooth coffee and an assortment of delicious healthy meals to service your hunger. With a large indoor and outdoor seating area, my pick is the indoor high stool bench seating with open windows looking out onto the sidewalk and outdoor dining. Great for 'people watching', reading the paper over a coffee on your Sunday morning walk or to simply witness the world go by. You may choose to sit out in the sun or under the shade of an umbrella. Alternatively you may sit inside to keep cool in summer or warm in the winter months and get amongst the buzz of the staff and the coffee making. The vibe is calm, clean and friendly with plenty of sights to let your mind flow over as the cafe is filled with inspirational quotes and simplistic art. This cafe has some very above average service from all staff including the owner, Jack as he brews up a purely satisfying sensual coffee. Run by locals; Jack & Michael they've sourced their team well with experienced chefs pulling together tasty and unique meals and young vibrant service staff. They're always open for a chat and happy to go that extra mile for whatever it may be that makes your visit or meal that little bit more enjoyable.Tartt have a twist with menu items for all, combining yummy and healthy ingredients to resurrect; all in all delicious nutritious meals that you eat out for. Their food is of a high standard with quality produce and presented beautifully; you can't wait to tuck in.My picks of the Menu featured below:* House made sweet potato rosti with smoked salmon, avocado, rocket & poached egg drizzled with balsamic glaze (they sure aren't stingy on the salmon)* (A truly) flavoursome combination of fried eggs on sourdough dressed with shallots, chilli and capsicum then drizzled with soy sauce and topped with pistachio dukkah. This 'Dukkah' is their secret ingredient and I would add it to anything it's that good! Then for the sweet tooth, of course a beautiful fresh muffin or...* Indulgently thick French toast topped with bananas, berry compote, maple syrup and served with homemade honeycomb butter...Now that says it all!Did I mention they also do takeaway pizza of an evening!I give Tartt a 10/10 for coffee, service, atmosphere and food.It is most certainly worth visiting!
