All across Australia Target stores are having their much-anticipated and celebrating Target Toy Sale. This year Australia's Biggest Toy Sale is running between 21st June until the 4th of July, and once again the catalogue is about the size of a size of a graphic novel.
The sale includes a range of toys from preschoolers to the 'big kids', covering a popular brands like Fisher-Price, Leap Frog, Barbie, Baby-Born, Lego, Nintendo, Nerf. Over 100 toys are available for half-price, and there's over 290 toys exclusive to Target. Smart little cookies have already swooped in for the Lego R2D2, available exclusive to Target for $199. Heck, I'm not a Lego collector and I know very little about Star Wars, and I still love it! Not to mention the collector's item angle.
A lot of the best deals get snatched up pretty quickly, but don't forget to check your catalogue for rain-checkable items! Don't forget the online store – this year you can buy or layby online See Target's online options here.
And there's all sorts of fun to be had in store too. There's a national colouring-in competition running until the end of the sale (some lucky kid will be winning a $200 gift card). There are other in-store activities including face painting, balloon give away, toy testing, story time and many more. Many of the stores have also set up their own "Kids Play Zone" in the store. Last weekend saw in-store appearances from some of the kid's favourites, including Elmo, Dora the Explorer and Spiderman. Who knows whom you might run into this weekend!
And just a clarification folks, this year there will be no "No-Deposit Layby" because of the apparent extraordinary complications that followed last year's. But they are still offering to "Hide your Layby Until Christmas", a service very popular with many an adult playing Santa.
