For a unique public transportation experience and a way to get out on the lovely Swan River why not take a ride on Perth's very own ferries?
Perth Ferries run to and from Freemantle, Rottnest, South Perth and for your entertainment provide wine and river cruises. The main ferry terminal in Perth can be located at Barrack Street Jetty while ferries for Rottnest may be found Barrack Street Jetty in Perth, East Street Jetty East Fremantle, Northport Rous Head North Fremantle, and Hillarys Boat Harbour.
The Ferry gives a quick soothing ride across the Swan River to the Perth Zoo, providing a fun filled day for all ages. The South Perth foreshore just beyond the ferry is also a wonderful place for small children to play, enjoy a tasty meal at the many spectacular resturants on display, and take a stroll along the sandy shores of the unique river in Perth.
