One day, the forefathers of metal and maidens of rock revelled together and fused their influential juices to create the one known as Sydonia. The reason for the bands lack of popular presence is as perplexing as to why Big Brother is back when they promised not to air anymore - after their last season. But Sydonia shouldn't be compared to Big Brother, for Sydonia is a reality that does matters; the band stands for the survival of good music, which has little to no roots with the popular trend of music presented on today's radio.
Jim Roots (Slipknot/ Stone Sour) has been quoted to say that Sydonia 'incorporate so many different vibes that it's a little bit hard to categorise them musically. I think, too, that's something music's sort of lost'. Sydonia is a nexus where the blend of metal, hard rock and melodic lyrics intertwine to create a balanced sound that is most definitely a solid definition of the band. You don't have to be into heavy metal to like this band, or be an avid fan of rock. Check out their TL hit on Youtube to get a better understanding of their music.
Sydonia is touring Australia and will be playing at the Newmarket Hotel in Bendigo, Victoria on the 07/09/2012. If you're not in the area then do not fret, for on the 08/09/2012 Sydonia will be stationed at the Enigma Bar in Adelaide, SA.
If you're still unsure as to whether the band is worth the notice then check them out on Youtube or visit their website for more information.
