Most of us have an Event Cinema or a Hoyts near us. These are often our first choices when we want to see a film, largely because they offer us all the movies we could want at the most convenient times. But are they the cheapest option?
An adult ticket at Event Cinemas costs $18, while at Hoyts you will be paying $18.50 to see a movie. These prices don't even reflect the cost of 3D films. However, you might not have to pay that much next time. Perhaps there is a smaller venue close to home that offers better prices and is showing just the movie you want to see.
The following is a list of what I think are the cheapest cinemas around Sydney (hopefully near you!). Do you know of any others?
