Is there a better entrée in the world than the humble spring roll? Whether you're dining on Vietnamese, Thai, Chinese or Malaysian, the first bite of those crispy pastry creations is my favourite part of the meal.
The perfect spring roll boasts strong flavours, fresh ingredients, crisp (not soggy) pastry and plenty of sweet chilli sauce.
But where do you go to find Sydney's best spring rolls?
Here at WeekendNotes, our writers have sampled the spring rolls at places like Rose Bay's
May Kwai and
Thanon Khao San Thai Restaurant in Bondi.
And there's plenty of other Sydney eateries that do a mean spring roll. I've heard good things about Le Lerd Thai Restaurant in Leichhardt,
Thai Pothong in Newtown and
Xage Vietnamese restaurant in Surry Hills.
I should also add that the crispy delights pictured, from Epping's Pent Thai, are pretty damn good as well.
