Farmer's markets are in vogue right now and for all the right reasons: healthy produce and flowers. Many people are moving towards organic food, and farmer's markets today tend to hit the spot in this area. What about Sydney? Where can you find top quality farmer's markets right here in Sydney?

There is a quality market stand at Darlinghurst on a Saturday morning, right across the road from Taylor Square heading towards St Vincent's Hospital. The food isn't always well presented but it is fresh and the prices are fairly reasonable for quality organic food with friendly service to boot.

Furthermore, the Leichhardt Farmer's Market held at Orange Grove Public School at Lilyfield on the weekends has more choice; yet the quality of the fruit and vegetables is just as great as what you can find right near Taylor's Square at Darlinghurst.

Now over to you. Where have you discovered a high quality farmer's market here in Sydney? And why is this market so incredible? Let's discuss. Looking forward to your input on this one.

Narrabean on a Friday 9am - 3pm - the veg and fruit are as fresh as anything as this market is the first stop for many of the out of town farmers - like the cherry and apple man from Orange, and they also have growers of unusual veg, such as the lady selling black beans and white eggplant.

The other goodie on the Northern Beaches is the Organic Market at Frenchs Forest on a Sunday, especially veg, but also for great bread and puddings such as lemon meringue.
