Despite the emergence of e-books and electronic reading devices, book collecting remains a popular hobby in the twenty-first century. If you're a buyer or seller of rare and vintage texts who enjoys the smell of a book and the thrill of an auction, take note of this new Sydney business.
Sydney Rare Book Auctions (SRBA) is a specialist antiquarian and collectible auction house specialising in Australian literature and art. The SRBA plans to collect rare books and conduct public auctions for fellow bibliophiles. The company was formed and run by three collectors with a collective fifty years of experience in the trade.
The inaugural rare book auction will take place on 18 April from 5.30pm. Potential bidders can view the collection from 9.00am to 5.00pm between 16 and 18 April at The Riley Room at
The Sebel (
