Sydney Fashion Festival

Home > Things to do in Sydney > Festivals | Shopping
Event: 17/08/2009
Often you'd have to be the editor of Vogue like Anna Wintour or a Hollywood star to experience the glitz and glamour of a fashion show. But thanks to the Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival a series of fashion shows will be hosted from August 17-22 and it’s open to us ordinary folks!

A big tent will be pitched up at Martin Place so you can sneak away during your lunch break or even drop by after work for the night session if you’re working in the city.

You can expect to sit into shows by some of Australia’s leading designer brands and retailers including Alex Perry, Camilla & Marc and David Lawrence who will be showing off some of their 09/10 summer collection.

Depending on which ticket you choose which start from as little as $20, you’ll find yourself being pampered like a celebrity receiving a complimentary glass of wine, a hair treatment at the Redken Retreat and a skin health check at the Simple Skincare Lounge. For more details about ticketing click here otherwise you can book your tickets via Ticketek.

Getting into the spirit of the fashion hype, there will be a number of VIP parties and satellite events held in and around the city. To find out the details have a look at the official schedule for the week.

Also from August 3 you can pick up the must-have fashion guide, the Fashion Festival Buddy from selected stores, cafes and bars which will not only detail the official Fashion Festival schedule but it will also be packed with over $500 worth of promotional offers.

The Westin Hotel is also joining in with the celebration and offering a special Fashion Festival package which includes staying in one of their hotel rooms, a Redken hair care gift, a professional blow dry before the runway show and a breakfast for two at the Mosaic restaurant.

To find what other offers will be available during the week click here.

And just like all fashion shows, the VIPs such as celebrities and other designers are expected to walk the red carpet and take front row seats so keep your eyes out!
