From the 19th of April to the 9th of May, the sixth annual
Sydney Comedy Festival will be bringing its giggles to a range of venues across the city.
In just a short time, this event has become one of the most anticipated on Sydney's calendar, thanks to its mix of stars, up-and-comers, locals and imports.
Appearing at this year's festival will be a host of entertaining
shows and performers. If you want to wet your pants and fly the flag at the same time, there are many fantastic Aussie acts to choose from, including
Akmal,
Chopper,
Tom Gleeson,
Wil Anderson,
Kitty Flanagan,
Peter Berner and
Fiona O'Loughlin, as well as a couple of terrific trios,
Axis of Awesome and
Mick Molloy, Glenn Robbins & Jeff Stilson.
If you prefer your jokes to come with foreign accents, you can opt for some English (
Ross Noble,
Julian Clary), American (
Eddie Ifft,
Henry Rollins,
Pauly Shore) or Canadian (
Tom Green) flavour.
There will also be a range of shows, like
60 in 60,
Theatre Sports,
The Great Comedy Debate and the
Comedy Festival Showcase.
But whatever takes your fancy, don't forget to book sooner rather than later, because tickets are often hard to come by.
