The Art Program at Sydney Children's Hospital, Randwick has announced their upcoming Winter Arts Exhibitions.

From Thursday 28th of May, until the 28th of August, guests can enjoy 5 diverse exhibitions, including a collection of works by featured artist Melissa Gollan's entitled: 'Imagine, Inspire, Identify'. It will showcase over 30 works designed to fuel the imagination and feed the soul.

Melissa Gollan is known for her contributions, donating artwork and her artistic talents to many worthwhile charitable organisations; most recently: Cure Brain Cancer Foundation, Cancer Council Queensland, JDRF- Juvenile Diabetes Awareness, Prince Alexandra Hospitals - Art for Spine, and this year, the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation.

As a contemporary artist who first started drawing and painting in her early teens, she held her first successful solo exhibition in 1999, and has been painting and designing periodically for about 15 years, completing works for both private commissions and commercial clients.

She has successfully sold work through several renowned galleries in Queensland, and shipped work as far wide as the UAE. In February of this year, Melissa launched her online eGallery, enabling her to readily showcase and distribute her original artwork and limited edition art gifts, to an even wider audience.

The exhibition will showcase her work, alongside that of four other artists in this winter rotation. The Art Program is jointly funded by Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation and Louis Vuitton Australia, with the motto "art celebrating life". The Program uses the visual arts in all forms to transform the Hospital into a place of wonder and respite, to create dialogues between artists and patients.

In this collection, Gollan says she wanted to explore many of the simple, yet joyful experiences we so readily forget in today's fast-paced world.
