Kayak hire is a great way to have cheap fun or exercise, however a lot of people have that idea over the summer holidays so its wise to book in advance. Outside of the Christmas break, you can usually just rock up on the day though.

A small refundable bond and photo ID is required to make sure you don't paddle off with the yak, but all in all it's one of the best cheap ways to have fun and try something you may have never experienced otherwise.
