Alongside its resident restaurants, the vegan and vegetarian friendly, Lentil as Anything, and the beautiful Convent Bakery, there are also numerous food stalls offering a variety of cuisines for all types of food lovers.
They include Himalayan Sherpa stall for some meaty Nepalese cuisine, Mama's Gozleme (pronounced goz-leh-meh), which serves delicious Turkish folded pastry with your choice of filling (the veggie gozleme is particularly tasty and Mr Calamero for some truly fresh fried calamari.
In addition, there is a pretzel and lollies stall for those with a sweet tooth. And if you happen to find the Gilbert & Marcel bakery stall, then by all means try her home-made, super rich and moist chocolate and raspberry brownie.
Despite its name, the market is not all about food. Clothes and jewellery stalls also line the path through the convent in addition to natural skincare and soap products, gourmet tea from Tea & Sympathy, and if you're brave enough, you can even get your tarot read.
Entry is free and there is parking available for $6.00 opposite the Abbotsford Convent on St Heliers Street.
