is a great bar/bistro on Pacific Street Newcastle. For a small place, it packs a powerful punch. The clean Scandinavian decor is welcoming and there are a variety of seating options on stools at the counter, at small tables inside or catching a coastal breeze on the footpath.

offers a French bistro style of experience where one can pop in for all day dining or a relaxing cheese board with a glass of wine. The brainchild of Alic Lees from Baked Uprising and the cheese mongrel, chef Kyle Liston the menu reflects their knowledge of and passion for bread, cheese and charcuterie.

We chose to have a late lunch of miso cured market fish and a ploughman's platter whilst watching the East End of Newcastle going about its business. The market fish of the day was mackerel and the entree sized dish was beautiful as well as full of flavour.

The selection of cheeses and meats for the ploughman's platter complemented each other well and the olives and piccallili added saltiness and acidity. The coffee was also delicious and it was lovely chatting to other diners enjoying the views and mild weather. Although quite busy the waitress was happy to explain the menu and was very welcoming.

also cater for events and I noticed people popping in and leaving with paper bags full of deli goodies. Make sure you take a look at the very impressive cheese counter and investigate the daily terrine and seasonal offerings.
