Sunset at Balmoral

Balmoral Beach is located in Mosman on the Lower North Shore of Sydney Harbour.

It's a great place to go on a hot afternoon, have a swim, enjoy some fish & chips for dinner, and watch the sunset.

There are netted pools (so the bitey sharks can't get in), you can hire boats, explore a few different beaches, and there are places to buy your lunch or dinner or you can use the public BBQs.

Parking can be a hassle. A free park can probably be found before 10am, after that you will most likely have to pay.

For public transport take a ferry from Circular Quay to Taronga Zoo and catch the 238 bus to Balmoral. If you have the energy there is a walk from Toronga to Balmoral which takes in some great views of the harbour and should take no more than 1 hour.

You can also catch a bus to Spit Junction, and then take the 257 the rest of the way.

Why? It's a jolly nice spot.
