Summer 2015 is definitely all about keeping cool in the pool in Melbourne. As bathing suit weather is upon us again, as is the Prahran pool party.

Join resident DJ Mike Gurrieri and special guests for a mix of soul, funk, jazz and world music for the ultimate Sunday warm-weather poolside experience. From 1.00pm to 6.00pm on the first Sunday of each month until March is the right time to dive into Prahran pool summer fun.



In Prahran, a day at the pool has moved from ordinary to extraordinary. The Prahran Aquatic Centre prides itself on being one of the finest pools in Melbourne. With its a unique cosmopolitan atmosphere, the centre features a heated outdoor 50 metre pool, toddler's pool (open during the summer months), spacious lawns with shade sails, sundeck and a relaxing spa, sauna and steam room.


Located at the Prahran Aquatic Centre close to Chapel St, the pool is easy to access, but with limited street parking try carpooling with mates or get off at Prahran train station and walk. There are also bike bike racks available at the front of the centre lockers to secure personal items cages if you would like to cycle to the centre.





If you're a keen swimmer or just want to cool down, Prahran pool is also open for its summer season from 1st October to 31 May at the following times:

Monday - Friday: 5.45am - 7.45pm
Saturday: 6.00am - 6.15pm
Sunday: 7.00am - 6.15pm


Bring some after swimming snacks, as the kiosk is currently not in action, and remember to slip, slop, slap!
