Nachos laoded with cheese, chips, buffalo tenders and stuffed potatoes are not going to impress your date, guys. Especially not in hot Queensland summer.
If the thought of shopping, slicing vegetables all afternoon and following a recipe makes you cringe, fear not. There's plenty of ways to impress her, with lots of easy recipes that taste great and presented nicely on a (clean) plate on a (clean) table cloth with a (smudge free) glass of wine, your date night will be a success. (Mine stuck around and I'm marrying her).

Now's not the time to be selfish. Spicy meatballs and loads of chilli sauce and garlic bread might be calling you, but you know ladies, they want to impress you, (do you really think it only took her five minutes to look like that?) you don't want her to be rushing out the door because she is embarrassed that she spilt pasta down the front of her new dress and flicked sauce up on her make up.
So this is no pasta recipe. No pizza either guys. And it's cold, just in time for summer.
Grab yourself some chicken breast. Then head to the spices and sauces aisle at your local shopping market. Here you will find these new awesome 'Tender roast' sachets. These are fantastic to add flavour to chicken. From lemon herb, garlic to barbeque flavour, these are a great way to impress. Slice the chicken and pop in the seasoning, shake and put in the oven for an hour. Take 3 potatoes, Thousand Island Sauce, (as much as you like to taste), just a spoon of creamy mayonnaise, spring onion/shallot, diced green capsicum, just a pinch of ginger (from the jar), lemon quarter.
Slice neatly then boil the potatoes, allow to cool. Mix all the ingredients to create the sauce, mix in potatoes and squeeze in the lemon juice to garnish, have the candles flickering on the table outside and enjoy.
This meal is perfect for those hot summer nights outside on the deck by the pool. Lip stick safe.
