This afternoon, after hearing about
Sugarland Cake Toppers from a kind young lady at the Cheescake Shop, I ventured to Mango Hill near North Lakes shopping centre and stepped inside the small but bright store. Like a candy wonderland for adults, sweetness filled my nose and I paused to take in the walls jammed packed with colour and shapes.

Right inside the door to my right, there was an entire wall of cake cutters in every shape and size you can imagine, from planes, flowers, buses, faces, bunnies, everything.
On a shelf close by were containers of icing of every colour, and this laquer stuff you can paint on your desserts to add shine. There were edible stars, hearts, soccerballs and bears holding love hearts, little bride and grooms that you can shovel into your mouth after the wedding cake cuttng ceremony, candles, balloons... I had never seen so many cool things for a cake!
If you are a cake lover and absolutely love baking on the weekends, you must head to Sugarland. There are even bags for decorating that you fill with icing, big tubs of mixture and much more. I am no cook, but this store makes me want to learn how to bake.
As I scanned the shelves from colourful cooking books to edible ribbons, I only imagined how much fun baking for children could be with the help of this place. The lady at the counter before me was purchasing plenty of cake materials and was telling the woman at the check out desk all about baking and how much her little girl adored her cupcakes.
As well as supplies, there was a glass cabinet showcasiing gorgeous creamy looking cup cakes and containers of fondant and buttercream (yum). My mouth was watering!
