Not sure how to spend your bank holiday Sunday? Why not head over to
StreetFest – the only 'live art' festival in the UK.
With plenty of activities taking place throughout the day: whether you're a fan of art, live music or skateboarding, there is undoubtedly something for everyone at StreetFest.
Go and see the live art showcases, including the prominent
Secret Wars; the World's premier live art battle which gained global popularity through underground art scenes and word of mouth.
If music is your main agenda, you can enjoy sets by Mr Hudson and DJ MK (Roots Manuva) as well as other PAs throughout the day. There will also be an MC battle showdown with 'End of the Weak MC' and live performances from UK hip hop artist Ty.
You can expect a day of eclectic creativity: graffiti art, film and digital art, as well as fashion and beauty shows. Make sure to bring some spending money, as there will also be a market place.
As a relative infant at only two years old in festival years, it's being backed by some big names, such as Adidas, Kiss 100 and RWD Magazine to name a few. The creators of StreetFest say the event is about "Building a modern day community of collective creativity…it is a new breed of festival where the onus is on promoting and merging creative talents".
Held in East London's trendy Shoreditch area, it's easily accessible by public transport and a great way to kick off the coming festival season, with this urban art, block party.
Tickets are £8.00 and can be bought from the StreetFest website or from
Juno Bar in Shoreditch.
