The Street Feast food truck offers a selection of slow cooked meats with sliders and rolls. It's simple yet hearty food.

You'll find them at food festivals, markets and food truck parks such as the Preston Food Truck Park and Welcome to Thornbury, where we visited them.

Their meats are cooked for a minimum of 18 hours and pulled pork is one of their most popular items - personally, I loved the beef brisket with homemade BBQ sauce and fresh slaw.

Many of their sauces are home made and you can add more sauce to your meal at the counter.

The slider trio ($15) is a good option if you want to try a bit of everything, including pulled pork, beef brisket and jerk chicken. The brisket, my favourite, is in the middle.

If you have a vegan or vegetarian friend, they have options for them too! I tried the vegetarian slider and they use a tropical salsa as the filling, which made it a more fruity yet substantial meal.

The food truck uses local Victorian produce and they also try to use free range produce where they can.

Simple food with an ethical mind - you won't feel guilty at all when eating this. Furthermore, they also provide wholesale services for those who don't have time to cook their meat for 18 hours! Read more about that here.

If you're after a sustainable meaty meal, find their next location via their website or social media.
