In the busy streets of Parramatta it is sometimes impossible to find a good place to eat, with long waiting lines, poor service, and limited menu listings, the quest for a nice, relaxing dinner with the family or friends can turn into hours of circus acts and fighting. How hard can it be to find a varied menu list for all the family's needs? To find a place that looks, smells, feels and tastes like a classy night out on the town? Well, look no further then Stephano's Ristorante on Church Street.
As soon as you walk in, a waiter, armed with a smile, guides you to the best available table they have. Everyone is given a large menu to decide on what they are to eat, and you are immediately asked if you would like to start with some drinks. The place feels like you have just walked in to a typical Italian pizzeria, the large wood fire pizza oven keeping the restaurant warm enough to feel comfortable in Winter, but not so warm that Summer would be a struggle. Stephanos can seat a large number of people, and seems to be a somewhat undiscovered gem in Parramatta, as it was not as busy as a number of other places, but actually betters any of the competitors I have tried.
There is something on the menu for all the family, Pizza, Ribs, Chicken, Entrées and a whole lot more, including the Italian favourite Gelato for dessert. The waiters are constantly passing your table to see if you need any assistance, making sure you are satisfied with the service you receive. I found this to be very helpful, as they did not seem to be trying just for the sake of meeting job criteria, they genuinely cared about the experience you had at Stephanos.
I went with my girlfriend, and we both shared a large pizza, garlic bread, two drinks and two scoops of gelato for well under $40. We were both expecting to spend much more than that for the quality meal we received. I highly recommend anyone to have dinner at Stephanos, as everything, from food to customer service, is top quality. I would especially recommend this restaurant to any man who wants to impress a lady, without burning a hole in his pocket.
